JJ's Montage Collection, handpainted Mohair, in "Karamea". Plain 1x1 ribbing, working alternate rows from separate balls (on a circular needle) - mostly because I didn't read that bit that said work every two rows...
I was getting sick of my yarn running away from me, and so I'm experimenting with flat balls of yarn. They're cute.
First it was garter, then stocking stitch, and now 1x1 rib. It's a scarf, or at least definitely not socks.
This hand-painted Mohair yarn (grown and spun in NZ) is just gorgeous, a blend of burgundy, turquoise and a royal blue (more vibrant than this photograph shows).
I knitted a tension square, to see how it knits. I don't know what will become of it yet - but while I was sampling, I kept thinking of a tote bag...
Will they dry in time for me to wear them tonight?!
