It's not necessarily my favourite corner in the world (that would likely involve supremely comfortable cushions), but this photo does have a sharp pointy corner in it, and I do like it.
This photo was taken in the early-ish hours of the last Sunday morning, when it wasn't rainy, and I wasn't unduly tired thanks to the switch to Daylight Savings. I'm at the base of the town/villiage clock in Devonport, near the ferry terminal.
And yes, people do look at me funny when I take photos of things like this.

I have to admit to being mildly impressed that this peice of wood, log, tree trunk, or whatever the techncial woody term might be, drifted to the shore just like those dinky little twigs. Or rather that the ocean did that.
I must also admit that I did consider the possibility that someone dumped it there, finding it was too heavy to lug up all the damned hills around here.
Yes, the harbour is lovely, and being close to it is lovely (not least because the city is on the other side of it). But the ocean was relatively close in Christchurch too, and it was flat there! Oh, my aching calves!
Of the 60 or so photos I took on my walk the other day, at least a third of them were shore related (if you allow me to include photos of rusting railings on the path). So, at least I'm branching out (and no, that was't a timber related pun) from my usual cloud and tree photography!
